Monroe Science Educational Services offers several one-day Adventure Programs to various northern California locations.
All Sierra Pacific Tour Buses are equipped with heat, air conditioning, reclining seats, window shades, bathroom and DVD/Video monitors throughout the interior that show standards-based, related trip programming. Master Driver Trainer Craig McDonald is Randy Monroe's lead driver on ALL MSES trips.

Sutter Gold Mine - Moaning Cavern - Foster's Bighorn
Students can enjoy an all day adventure to the Sierra Nevada Foothills. We will travel along Highway 49 to Sutter Gold Mine and onward to Moaning Caverns near Angel's Camp. The adventure winds down as we stop in Rio Vista for a root beer at Foster's Bighorn and see the 3rd largest collection of animal trophies in the world.
The Geysers Geothermal Facility - Old Faithful Geyser - Petrified Forest – Safari West Wildlife Preserve
Exploration and adventure abound as we travel to Middletown and Calistoga along Hwy 29. Students will get to visit The Geysers Geothermal Facility operated by Calpine, and go to the Old Faithful Geyser. Rounding out this day trip, we will visit the Petrified Forest and Safari West Wildlife Preserve located in Santa Rosa.
Monterey Bay Aquarium & Research Institute - Elkhorn Slough Safari - Seal Lion Training - Whale Watching
A day trip sightseeing along beautiful Highway 1 takes students to the Monterey Bay Area. We will view dazzling creatures at the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and Research Institute. Students will get to ride the Elkhorn Slough and learn about conservation along California's coast. As the day trip winds down, we will visit a sea lion training facility and go whale watching.
